I hope you've been doing well these past few months!
I was just wondering whether you have plans on coming back to your blog in the near future? Absolutely no pressure - I completely understand if you're working on other things right now. When you do come back, it would be great if you could do an update on how you've been recently, and how you've found 2022 so far!
I'm also really intrigued about the book you're writing. Would you be able to share more details on what it's about e.g. does it align with the mental health topics you discuss in Redeeming Disorder? I really enjoy reading your writing so will probably preorder regardless of the topic :))
Cheers to you and your newly acquired natural immunity!
I can understand your frustration with words and their limitations. In your case, the audience is a big part of the problem - you can't make people understand if they won't truly listen.
I'm fully vaxxed, mostly because I wanted to make it easier to travel to Ecuador last summer, actually, and I wear masks everywhere I'm asked to without resistance, but I was never once offended by anything you said in your blog or on Twitter (in fact, I'm pretty sure I retweeted your vax card/Matrix tweet). I understood then that it was the forces that strong-armed me into vaxxing and mask wearing that you were railing against - because I LISTENED to what you were actually saying rather than automatically reacting the way those forces would like me to. Your words speak to more than just those who resist them.
COVID garbage aside, you have a wonderful way of making complex concepts accessible to non-intellectuals like me. I get you, Reiman. And I feel enriched by what you've shared with us on your blog - I look forward to what your next adventure brings.
P.S. That view, though! Thank you for sharing it. Your new home country is so gorgeous with such varied and magical landscapes. I only made it to Quito, Cuenca & nearby Cajas & Sangay national parks, and Mindo cloud forest - but it was enough to have me planning many trips back.
I'm happy to know that what I've written has landed for some people — those rare people with the ears to listen and the eyes to see. You're sadly right; it's hard to underestimate people's listening ability today. I have faith, though, that we'll see a world where this has changed, and more than just a few of us recognize that we are free.
Until then, yes, lucky to be in a country with such astounding diversity and beauty. It really is amazing for being so small; I hope you make it back here to your heart's content!
Yo Reiman! You really do have amazing thoughts to share and I've enjoyed binging a lot of your stuff for the past for 5.5 hours or so. I started reading/listening at 2am and now am staring at the clock seeing 7:30! Meaning you've been so captivating that I have pulled my first all-nighter in a while...
I have only 1 thing to say -- I NEED A BOOK FROM YOU! I don't care what it entails. Just give me it. Oh -- also, please give us a 2022 update whenever possible! Sending love from Massachusetts!
I'm going to be real for a second, I got the vaccine and I was hesitant to understand and fully comprehend what you were saying about the vaccine just because I have been so set in my views throughout this entire pandemic. Honestly, I was going to leave a strongly worded comment which would have been the farthest from nice, but then I took a step back and re-read what you wrote. Freedom is important. Everyone deserves to have a choice and the vaccine should be treated no different. Even though I am fully vaccinated and it has helped me through this pandemic (going to school and getting into public places), I should not force my views upon everyone. Although I might not agree with the fact that you have not gotten vaccinated, I think there is beauty in choice. Thank you so much for this blog post, it has shifted the way I think about this whole vaccine issue. I hope you are well and you recover from Covid Reiman! Have an amazing rest of your day :)

Dang sorry to hear you're not feeling well, Reiman. Sending healing vibes to my dude!
Thanks man. Btw, Shirin told me you're helping her in her job search — small world!
She's an ace. We smiled on the connection!
